Therapeutic Botox in Kanata

Botox isn’t only used for cosmetic purposes. In dentistry, therapeutic Botox may be recommended for selected patients to help manage symptoms associated with overactive jaw muscles, clenching, and certain forms of facial discomfort.

At Nash Dental, therapeutic Botox is considered as part of an individualized treatment plan following an appropriate dental assessment.

FAQs

Therapeutic Botox FAQs

How does therapeutic Botox work for jaw muscles?
Botox temporarily reduces activity in targeted muscles. In appropriate dental cases, this may help reduce excessive muscle activity associated with clenching or related symptoms.
How long do the effects of therapeutic Botox last?
The duration varies by patient, treatment area, and dose, but the effects are temporary and repeat treatment may be considered when clinically appropriate.
Is therapeutic Botox right for everyone who clenches or grinds their teeth?
No. Clenching and grinding can have different causes and may require different treatments. A dental assessment helps determine the likely cause and whether Botox, a dental appliance, or another approach is appropriate.
This experience looks amazing, does it cost more?
Not at all! At Nash Dental, we believe an exceptional dental experience shouldn’t come with a premium price tag. We follow the Ontario Dental Association (ODA) Fee Guide, just like most dental offices across Ontario. Our goal is simple: provide elevated care, modern technology, and an incredible patient experience without elevated fees.
